Christy was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles and a 1977 graduate of LaGrange High School. Known for being the life of the party and the family "ologist," she had a special talent for organizing family events, always with the menu as the main highlight. Christy was a proud breast cancer survivor. A devoted grandmother, Christy was her grandkids' biggest cheerleader, attending every activity they were involved in. She will be remembered for her infectious smile, feisty spirit, and her love of enjoying boiled crabs on her back porch. She will be deeply missed.
Christy worked as an Administrative Professional for the Hixson Funeral Homes for the past 16 years. She was usually the first to arrive in the morning and the first to leave in the evening. Her fellow associates will remember her fondly for always keeping us organized, entertained and well fed. She never let any reason to celebrate pass us by, especially if there was food involved.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Troy Quebedeaux; daughter, Denee Klumpp (Josh); step-son, Tylor Quebedeaux; two grandchildren, Corbin and Camille Oustalet; three siblings, Bubba Doga (Dawna), Lisa Waddell (Keith) and Brian Doga (Melissa) and her fur baby, Lucy. She was also known and loved as "Biggs" by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and mother-in-law, Betty Mouton.
