Sing was born on February 10, 1926 in Creole, LA to Delma Faulk and Margaret LeBeouf Faulk. He was a proud veteran who served in the Army Air Corp during World War II where he was an E6-Staff Sergeant as a B-24 Bomber and Gunner. After the war, he returned to Cameron, where he married Ruth “Tat” Rogers Faulk of Cameron, worked in the oilfield, shrimping industry, and started his own successful Gulf Service Station in 1958, and in 1959 he started Gulf Coast Supply. In 1961, he purchased the land and opened Faulks Washeteria, and he retired at age 55. After retirement, he was heavily involved with VFW, American Legion, Civil Defense, Cameron Fire Department with his dog Rex, Optomist Club, and a founder of the Cameron Parish Veteran’s Memorial Wall. He was a parishioner at Our Lady Star of the Sea. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, afternoon hi ball, playing cards at the camp, and “outlawing.” He was an avid gardener where he had 40 fruit trees, cattlemen, quick-witted, and a practical joker. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke, you listened. He made certain that those he cared about had all the opportunities he did not.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Harold Faulk; his sister, Hilda Savoie, and his son, Michael Faulk.
