Cala Sue Bland

Cala Sue sang with the “Melody Maids” in Beaumont, Texas. She loved singing and listening to country music. Cala Sue saw everything in a positive light. She had amazing faith, was very generous, and loved her children and grandchildren above all else.

She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Bland and wife Helen, and Rickey Bland and wife Stephany; grandchildren, Gretchen Meyer, Kristian Bland, Jodey Peloquin, Candace Bland, Corey Bland, Joshua Bland, Jessey Bland, and Kathleen Bland; and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Edward Carroll and Edyth Houston; and granddaughter, Carolona Bland.

Her funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 at Hopewell Methodist Church in Pitkin. Rev. Sharon Harris will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Blackjack Cemetery in Pitkin. Her visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at Hopewell Methodist Church in Pitkin.
