Barbara Anne Hardy

Barbara Anne (Savoie )Hardy of Humble, TX, age 69 passed away on July 23, 2011 at home surrounded by loving family members. After a long battle, Barbara succumbed to cancer. Her care takers were Diann, Sarah, and Darlene with the help and support from hospice nurse Cindy.

She is survived by her husband Melton Hardy, brother Eugene Savoie and wife Patsy of Lake Charles, sister Mary Clapper and husband John of Fort Worth TX and sister Becky Shoults and husband Ronald of Porter TX, Aunt Lucy Lamonlagne of Jennings LA, two daughters Diann Harris of Humble TX and Susan Warner and husband Robert of Milam TX, three grandchildren Brittany, Buddy and Amanda. She has numerous cousins, second cousins,(great and great-great) nieces and nephews.

Barbara is preceded in death by her son Michael Keeling, her father Everette Savoie, mother Clemence R (Alleman)Savoie, brothers Isaac Savoie, Vincent Savoie, Andrew Savoie and Lewis Savoie.

Barbara was born in Lake Charles October 15, 1941. She attended Marion High School and continued her education into nursing in Champaign IL where the journey began. The love she had for nurturing and caring for people overflowed into her personal life. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Let us celebrate her life and death together.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will be 11 a.m. til 1 p.m. Saturday with a rosary at 1 p.m.
