Archille Joubert

Archille was born in Lacassine, LA on May 28, 1937 and lived there most of his life. He graduated from Lacassine High School in 1955. He moved to Iowa, LA after he married and lived there until his death. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church and very active in the Knights of Columbus #3006 from 1958 until his illness. He served as the financial secretary, Grand Knight, and district deputy. He retired from LA DOTD as an engineering aide and bridge inspector after 30 years of service. He then worked for the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury for 11 years.

Archille enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping, traveling, playing cards, and going to the casino. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He especially loved his grandchildren and family, and was always patient and understanding.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loyal and loving wife of 54 years, Judith Joubert; one son, Kevin Joubert and wife, Sherry; two daughters, Rachel Davidson and husband, Jarod and Denise Bertrand and husband, Mark all of Iowa, LA; one brother, J.B. Joubert and wife, JoAnn of Eagle Nest, New Mexico; two sisters, Judy Joubert of Moss Bluff and Sheila Courville and husband, Glenn of Scott, LA; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Celina and Archille Joubert Sr.; and one son, Mike Joubert.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Monday, March 31, in St. Raphael Catholic Church. The Rev. Andreas Kedati will officiate. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles from 3-9pm Sunday, March 30, with a rosary at 7pm and will resume Monday 8am until time of service. Interment will be in Lacassine Cemetery.
