Aline Marie Brown

Aline was a wonderful cook, homemaker and seamstress. She was a cashier at Delta Downs for 9 years. She enjoyed gambling and playing poker.

Aline is preceded in death by her parents, Aza and Celise Blanchard; first husband, Leo Smith and second husband, Walter Brown; brothers, Robert and Henry Blanchard; sisters, Ruth Fondon and Jeanette Morgan; great-grandson, Bret Legnon.

She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Smith Wright and husband, Michael of Vinton, LA; brothers, James Blanchard and wife Dorene of Hardin, TX, Roland Blanchard and wife Barbara of Hamshire –Fannett, TX; sisters, Lillian Johnson of Welsh, LA, Norma Northcutt of Hankamer, TX and Hilda Phillips and husband Tommy of Baytown ,TX; grandchildren, Paula Kimball of Katy, TX, Dana Kimball Miller and husband Troy of Lafayette LA, Korey Kimball and wife Suzanne deMahy Kimball of New Iberia, LA; great- grandchildren, Tate Aline and Grant Miller and Mary Maskow and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held on August 5, 2017 at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton LA. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. A gathering in the church hall will follow the services. The Family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Brookdale Assisted Living and Amedisys Hospice staff for the wonderful care they provided for their loved one.
