Alex Laurent Doxey

A special gift from God, Alex loved his Disney movies, especially Dumbo and Bambi. He was gifted at video games and his favorites were Super Mario Brothers and Donkey Kong. Alex never met a stranger and loved to shake hands with whomever he met. He was an avid collector of puppets and they were his gifts for every occasion, his favorites being Dinosaur’s. He was Baptized and a member of Wakefield United Methodist Church in Cameron. During his childhood Alex participated in the Special Olympics and was a graduate of South Cameron High School.

Alex is preceded in death by his grandmothers; Mary Lois Doxey and June Heartsill and grandfather; Roy Hill. He is survived by his loving parents; Laura and Davy Doxey, sister; Ashley Doxey, grandfathers; Billy Doxey and Paul Heartsill, uncles; James (Nita) Albarado, W.C (Bonita) Doxey, Bobby (Phyllis) Doxey, Ruben Doxey, and Trent Heartsill, aunts; Mary (Doug) Palmer, Elaine ( Bill) Powell, Lynn (Ricky) Freeman, Paige (Andrew) St. Julian, Lee Atzert, special aunt and uncle; Joe and Darlene Higgins, and many loved cousins and friends. Alex will be cherished and missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation to be held Friday, June 3, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm with Funeral Services Saturday June 4, 2016 at 11:00 am all at Wakefield United Methodist Church in Cameron, LA.
