She was a member of Smithfield Baptist Church and a retired bus driver for Oldham County Schools.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Wilmer Hicks; parents, Ferdinand and Arlena Smith; sons, David Hicks and Donald Hicks; Irene Barnes, Imogene Sherrell and Tom Smith.
Survivors include her children, Dorothy Sevcik (Bob) and Doug Hicks (Beth); siblings, Fred Smith, Doris Tingle, Betty Rittenberry (Elmer), Patsy Lentz, Janet Straughn, Stephen Smith (Grace) and Judy Faye Winters (Donnie); 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 12 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation on Tuesday from 4-8 PM.
