He was born to the late John and Nellie McCue on April 19, 1942 in Elizabethtown, KY.
He served in the United States Army for six years, where he was a radio maintenance technician. Later he worked for RCA before retiring from GE as a TV and computer technician. Bob served on the Orchard Grass City Council and the Oldham County Merit Board. He was also a member of the Derby City Mustang Club.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother; Wayne McCue.
Left to cherish the memory of Bob are his wife of 59 years; Judith (Mullins) McCue, daughters; Jeanette Winslow (Dudley), Elaine McCubbins (Steven), and Natalie Wheatley (Matthew), grandchildren; Wesley, Whitney and Wyatt Winslow, Katelyn, Cameron and Kyleigh Conklin, and Cole and Elijah Wheatley, sister; Dr. Peggy McCue Chappell Collier (Roger), sister-in-law; Joyce McCue, nieces; Julane Chappell and Karen Rasner, extended family and many friends.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at Southeast Christian Church Crestwood Campus in room 190C, 6220 Crestwood Station, Crestwood, KY 40014, where a gathering will be held from 11am-3pm. Following the gathering, a private time of reflection will be held for close family and friends.
As a tribute to his love of all things Ford and Mustang, family requests guests come dressed in Ford or Mustang apparel.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hosparus or Norton Cancer Institute are appreciated.
