Mary Katherine Cox

She was born to the late Charles Julian and Dana Burge Whitehouse in Shelbyville, Kentucky on November 23, 1919.

Mary Katherine was a member of Ballardsville Baptist Church and a member of the Women's Missionary Union at the church. She and her sister; Christine Powell, have made over 1,000 dresses for the Honduras Mission and over 300 Christmas stockings for the women's prison.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings; Owen Whitehouse Sr, Louise Cox, Elizabeth Madden, Mildred Whitehouse, and Charles Whitehouse.

Left to cherish the memory of Mary Katherine are her children; Jimmy Carroll Cox (Judy), Donna Sue Powell and Charles "Butch" Cox (Judie), 7 grandchildren; Kathy Floyd (Rick), Chris Cox, Kelly Cox (Jennifer), Lauren Caldwell (Tim), LeeAnn Sheperson (Mark), Jay Cox (Sara) and Whitney, 11 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, sister; Christine Powell and many extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Mary Katherine's Life will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 10:30am with burial to follow at Valley of Rest in LaGrange, Kentucky. Visitation will be Monday evening from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
