He was born on May 4, 1949 in Bedford, Indiana to the late Verdus and Dorothy White, where he was one of five children.
Kermit attended Ballardsville Baptist Church and was a meat cutter for 45 years between Kroger and Paul's Fruit Market. He enjoyed golfing and karaoke, especially Elvis songs. Kermit was an avid UK fan but above all he loved his family and being a Poppy!
He is preceded in death by his granddaughters, Ali Rae Tipton and Autumn Marie Foree.
Left to cherish the memory of Kermit are his wife of 43 years, Hazel White; children, Gregory Shane Tipton (Ashley), Jennifer Renee Lusardo (Brawnley), Michael Lee White (Leah), and Jason Ray Tipton (Angie); grandchildren, Kendall Shane Tipton Mercer (Cameron), Alex Scott Tipton, Hayden Lee Lusardo, Brandon Keith Tipton, and Sophie Grace White; great-grandchildren, Leighton Elise Tipton, Ophelia Louise Tipton, and one on the way; a large extended family and many friends.
A celebration of Kermit's life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Noon at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, with burial to follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery. A luncheon will follow burial at LaGrange Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday evening from 4-8pm and Saturday morning from 10-12 at the funeral home.
