John C Payton

He was a carpenter most of his life. Johnny enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. An avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and UK games.

Preceding him in death were his parents; Walker and Sarah Payton; brothers, Russell and Forrest Payton; grandson, Nicholas D. Howard.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Bonnie Abercrombie Payton; children, Rita Smith(Jeff), Debbie Howard (Cleveland) and William Payton (Deb); grandchildren, Kenneth Payton Sr. (Leah), Shannon McCombs (Danny), John W. Payton, Amanda Sparkman (J.R.), Leana Miller and Billy Ray Payton (Sally). Great Grandchildren, Ciarra Killingsworth (Cody), Diane Payton (Easton), Kenneth Payton Jr., Hunter Sparkman, Mahayla Smith, Audrey Payton, Wesson Miller and Lilly Miller; Great great granddaughter, Caycie Killingsworth; Siblings, Jean Freeman, Robert Payton (Charlene), Jack Payton (Teresa), Diane Bradley (Larry), Frances Williams, David Payton (Laura), Danny Payton (Tammy) and Larry Payton.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 12 noon on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation from 10 until noon on Monday.
