He was born to the late John W. and Florence Kammer in Wheeling, West Virginia on April 5, 1928.
Jack was a U.S. Navy veteran serving until the end of WWII and graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus where he was the former Faithful Navigator.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 55 years; Carol J. Kammer, sister and brother-in-law; Jeanne and George Truax and sister-in-law; Ann Marie Kammer.
Left to cherish the memory of Jack are his four children; Judy Bohannon (Kenneth), John J. Kammer (Adrienne), Jim Kammer (Kim), and Jeff Kammer (Julie), eleven grandchildren; Jenny (Jason), Jackie ( Beiqi), Taylor (Shane), Noah, Caroline, Charlie, Blake, Rachael, Taryn, Ashton, and Brennan, four great-grandchildren, and three brothers; Bill, Bob (Carol), and Dick (Gail) Kammer.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 11am with burial to follow at Valley of Rest. Visitation will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 4-8pm with a prayer and Knights of Columbus service at 7pm.
Memorial donations can be made in Jack's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
