Ferdinand "Fred" Robinson Smith

Fred was born to the late Ferdinand and Arlena Robinson Smith, May 16, 1926 in Warsaw, KY.

He was a lifelong resident of Oldham County, KY retiring as the Superintendent from the LaGrange Utilities Company. He was a World War II Army veteran, member of the Westport Baptist Church and farmed the family farm for a number of years.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Ollie Bell Smith; son, Philip W. Smith; sisters, Irene Barnes, Imogene Sherrell, Ruth Hicks; and brother, Tom Smith.

He is survived by sons, Jerry Smith (Regina) and Mark Smith (LeAnne); daughter-in-law, Debbie Smith; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters, Doris Tingle, Betty Rittenberry (Elmer), Patsy Lentz, Janet Straughn, and Judy Winters (Donnie); brother, Stephen Smith (Grace); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Westport Baptist Church or Hosparus of Louisville in his memory.

A funeral service for Fred will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 706 W Jefferson St, Lagrange, KY 40031. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the start of service.
