She was born to the late Robert and Lillian Gill in Crestwood on April 21, 1940.
Doris worked with her husband at Don Adams Trucking and for the Oldham County Courthouse as a Deputy County Court Clerk. She was a member of Ballardsville Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting afghans for her family.
She is preceded in death by her brother; Jim Gill.
Left to cherish the memory of Doris are her husband of 68 years; Donald Adams, sons; Larry Adams (Cindy) and Dan Adams ( Cheryl), 4 grandchildren; Christopher Adams, Meghan Lee (Jeremy), Katie Spence (Mitch), and Jacob Adams (Kayla), 4 great-grandchildren; Jackson Lee, Madelyn Lee, Harrison Adams, and Levi Adams, sister; Roberta Hayes, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Doris's life will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, KY 40031 on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11am with burial to follow at Valley of Rest in LaGrange. Visitation will be Thursday evening at the funeral home from 4-8pm.
