Son of Donald R. and Anna G. Hutchinson, he was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 20, 1947. David was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in LaGrange. Many will remember him from his years in the photo industry and as an avid collector of toy trains. David proudly served in the United States Army as a second lieutenant and previously served as Finance Officer of the American Legion Post #468 in Sylvania, OH. More recently, he served on the board of the Oldham County Libraries as treasurer and looked forward to breaking ground on the new library.
He is preceded in death by his brother; James R. Hutchinson. Left to cherish the memory of David are his wife of 48 years; Valeria Hutchinson, children; Robert L. Hutchinson (Mariana Nakashima) and Andrea M. Gieszl (Robert Earl), grandchildren; Xavier and Ruth Hutchinson and George Gieszl, sister-in-law; Carol Hutchinson, extended family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 11am. Visitation will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home in LaGrange, KY on Wednesday evening from 4-8pm with a prayer service at 7pm. An additional visitation in Toledo, OH will be on held on Friday evening at Newcomer Funeral Home (King Road) from 4-8pm. Burial will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 11am.
Memorial donations can be made to Gillette Children's Foundation in David's name.
