He was retired from Ford Motor Company.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Marilyn Cottrell and Don Blackmer.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years Linda Blackmer; sons, Brian Blackmer (Katie Moody) and Chase Blackmer (Kelsey); grandson, Hayden Nelson; siblings, Doug Blackmer (Perri), John John Cottrell (Elvia), Lynn Blackmer and Marijo Schneider (Dan).
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 1 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home. Visitation on Tuesday from 10 AM until service time.
