Connie was born in Campbellsville, KY on December 17, 1946 to the late Isaac and Elizabeth Paxton Sullivan.
Connie was a woman of faith who loved life, traveling , and gardening at her home. She was known to carry a traveling shovel in her car to stop along the road to dig up wild flowers. She was also a social bug with a unique sarcastic wit who always enjoyed laughter with friends and family.
Connie taught for over 35 plus years as a college professor at Cincinnati State and the University of Cincinnati. She impacted several thousand students by instructing business technology skills that helped them obtain employment with several top area employers.
She was an avid gardener who loved touring Botanical Gardens across North America, was a certified horticulturalist, and her favorite flower was a daylily. Connie and her husband; Jack, enjoyed boating at Lake Cumberland for 50+ years with her sons and grandkids. She was a active member at First Baptist Church of Mt Healthy and spent her final years at Springdale Nazarene Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Campbell, brother, David Sullivan, and brother-in-law Max Heath.
Left to cherish the memory of Connie are her sons; Eric Campbell (Tamara) and Shannon Campbell (Greg Lopatosky), granddaughters; Grace and Anah Campbell, siblings; Ruth Ann Heath, Randy Sullivan (Cheryl) and Keith Sullivan (Tammy), sister-in-law; Vivian Sullivan, many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Connie's life will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, KY 40031 on Saturday, April 16, 2022, 11am for visitation and followed by a service at 1:30pm. In memory of Connie's love for cut flowers, the family asks that you bring cut flowers from your garden or cut flower arrangements. Flower arrangements will be donated to residents at the Willows of Springhurst.
Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or the Japanese Garden at the Louisville Botanical Gardens.
