Bonnie Young Stice

Bonnie Young Stice, 81, of LaGrange, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2025. The first in her family to graduate from college, attending the University of Kentucky where she was a proud member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She was a devoted Christian belonging to Episcopal and Methodist churches at different times, and most recently a member of Southeast Christian Church.

She rejoins the love of her life of 58 years, James "Jim" Ray Stice. Preceding them, she joins her beloved parents, John Hays and Mary E. Young, four aunts, five uncles, and a half-sister.

She devoted her life to raising her children, and helping her father take care of the bookkeeping of his lifelong printing business. She was an avid reader in her youth, and she loved to travel with her family in the summer, especially planning the route to include educational and historical sites along the way.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children, James "Jim" Andrew Stice (Angela) of Maysville, KY and John Garrett Stice of Louisville, KY; grandchildren Tyler William Stice, and Owen James Stice of Maysville, KY.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the caregivers of Belmont Village and Westport Place, who loved being around her because of her sweet nature. Their kindness and compassion in Bonnie's final months were truly a blessing.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at Noon on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home in LaGrange, KY with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, KY. Visitation will be from 10am until the start of the service.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Samaritan's Purse International Relief or Central Baptist Church in Maysville Kentucky.
