He was a member of Buckner Baptist Church. Arthur was a retired Navy Chief and also a retired Maintenance Forman for BMI Inc.
Preceding him in death were his parents: Thomas and Anna Marshall Stephens; brothers and sisters: Clyde Stephens, James Stephens, Nunia Meyers and Patty Kinkade.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years: Mildred Becker Stephens; children: Sharon Hechinger (David), Stacy Brancato (David), Steve Stephens (Stacey) and Tom Stephens (Katie); brothers and sisters: Lester Stephens, Dorothy Adkins, Ruth Boggs and Johnny Stephens; grandchildren: Holly Horn, Hope Golden, Josh Stephens, Wiley Stephens, Emily Stephens, Molly Stephens, Julie Stephens; great grandchildren: McKenzie Golden, Evan Horn and Avery Stephens.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Monday, November 18, 2013 at Buckner Baptist Church with burial in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Visitation from 4-6 on Monday at Buckner Baptist Church.
