Mrs. Davis was born April 6, 1948 in Carrollton, GA to the late Glenn Dewey Yates and Eloise Cummings Yates. Before retirement, she was employed with the State of Georgia at the Little White House as an Interpretive Ranger. Mrs. Davis was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, a former member of the Active Life in LaGrange, GA and the Alpha Sigma Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi during the late 70’s and early 80’s. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Kish Davis and former husband, Tommie G. Norred.
Survivors include her daughters, Sherry (Jim) Clemons and Kristie (Keith) Hart; step children, Jay (Felicity) Davis and Paula (Zed) Novelle-Davis; grandchildren, Christopher (Elizabeth) Carter, Victoria Hart, Caitlin (Jeremy) Torbush, Serah (Jeremiah) Dixon, Oasis (Jordan) Nichols, Eli Clemons, and Grace Hart; great grandchildren, Carter Nunis, Jagger Torbush, and Jacob Nichols; sisters, Judy (Jerry) Nelms and Glenda (Lamar) Brooks; brother, Glenn (Cynthia) Yates; several other relatives and friends and her faithful little dog, Buster.
The Gathering of Family and Friends will be Tuesday, September 17, 2019 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm prior to the service. The Celebration of Life sevice will be at 4:00pm in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Rev. Daniel Bookhoop and Pastor Betty Jean Bowers officiating.
