It is with great sadness, Tony Ernest Scroggs, 77, went to be with Jesus on February 11, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Jane Scroggs; daughter, Shannon Schmieder; son, Sean Scroggs (Kerry); son, Eric Scroggs; 6 grandchildren, Baylee Menetre (Miller), Tanner Schmieder, Jason Scroggs, Samuel Scroggs, Isaac Scroggs, Matthew Scroggs; and 3 great-grandchildren, Indy Grace Schmieder, Beau Schmieder and Miles Menetre.
He was a wonderful husband, dad, gran, mentor and coach. He loved being a dad, but he was crazy for being a gran to his grandbabies. Jane and Tony were best friends for 55 years. He loved playing basketball and he helped coach basketball and softball. He loved being around people and everyone who knew him loved him and he will be greatly missed.
We love you sugaman, dad, gran and a piece of our heart will be missing until we see you again. This is not goodbye, it is, we will see you soon.
The gathering of family and friends will begin at 2:00pm Saturday, February 24, 2024 until the Celebration of Life Service at 4:00pm in the Striffler-Hamby Chapel with Rev. Donald Yancey officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Tony Ernest Scroggs.
