Mr. Hanna was born March 17, 1940 in Charleston, SC to the late Joseph Bethay Hanna and Elanor Adaline Morgan Hanna. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and attended Baptist Tabernacle. Mr. Hanna owned and operated PeeWee Lures for a number of years, which he started in the family kitchen, molding and hand making all his lures. He loved the Lord and lived for his family. Mr. Hanna instilled in his children and grandchildren the mentality that “if you thought about it long enough – you could fix anything.” In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Hanna.
Mr. Hanna leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of almost 60 years, Mary Gerald Hanna; three beautiful daughters, Kim Olson of Lanett, AL, Dawn (Gerald) Tritt of Roanoke, AL, and Jennifer Beckom of LaGrange, GA; nine wonderful grandchildren; six perfect great grandchildren; two sisters, Joann Whatley and Leola (Ron) Harvey; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Gathering of Family and Friends will be Friday, July 2, 2021 from 4:00pm until 5:00pm at Baptist Tabernacle. The Celebration of Life Service will begin at 5:00pm at Baptist Tabernacle on Friday, July 2, 2021 with Rev. Jimmy McMillian officiating.
