Steven Lee Dudley

Mr. Dudley was born April 28, 1953 in Minneapolis, MN. He was a graduate of Dixie Hollins High School in St. Petersburg, FL and a graduate of LaGrange College with a BA in Business and Computer Science. Mr. Dudley was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at LaGrange College. He later taught Computer Science and was the assistant coach for the LC men’s soccer team. Mr. Dudley was a computer engineer for West Point Foundry. He loved bowling and was a member of the Valley Bowling League for many years. Mr. Dudley was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He was Methodist by faith.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Funderburk Dudley of LaGrange; two children, Shannon Dudley Kamp and her husband Jerry of Silver Creek, GA and Jennifer Dudley of Canton, GA; mother Joyce England of Tampa, FL; father, Leo Dudley of St. Petersburg, FL; two grandchildren, Sylvia Kamp and Mary Kamp; sister, Darcy Wolf of Tampa, FL; three brothers, Michael Dudley, Scott Dudley, both of St. Petersburg, FL, and Randy Dudley of Germany; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 26, 2011 in Shadowlawn Cemetery with Reverend Joe Watson officiating.

The family will be at the home of his wife, Bonnie Dudley, and will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to LaGrange College in memory of Mr. Steven Lee Dudley.
