She is survived by; niece, Beth McClung, nephews, David and (Lori) McClung and Philip and (Angela) McClung; sister, Frances (Bob) Head, sisters, Willodean (Robert) Alexander, Marie McClung; and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Luther Norton, Jr.
A the gathering of family and friends for Irene will be held Monday, September 30, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel. The family will have a private a graveside service at 4:00 PM at Shadowlawn Cemetery, LaGrange, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested the donations be made to West Georgia Hospice in memory of Sara Irene Norton.
