Mrs. Foster was born October 15, 1945 in Randolph County, AL, daughter of the late J. H. Rice and Marie Elizabeth Cosper Rice. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker, dedicating her life to the needs and concerns of her family that she loved so dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband, James H. Walker and a daughter, Tammy Lee Molly Schultz.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur Foster; children, Gayla (Sam) Taylor, Troy Smith, and Anthony Smith; step daughter, Tammy (Bernie) Anderson; brother, James (Dianna) Rice; sister, Margo Webster; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
The Gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home. The Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00pm Friday, August 14, 2020 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Brian Geter officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens.
