My name is Amie Duncan and this is my Daddy... It's taken me a while to do this. I've gone over and over a million things to say and nothing felt right, but I don't believe this will ever feel right. My Daddy was a lot of things; a welder, mechanic, carpenter, musician, singer and so much more. In his words, "A Jack of all trades and a master of none." He was also a son, a brother, an uncle, a father and a grandfather.
When we were all together, as a whole family, that was when he really was his best. Sadly, those moments were few and far between and gone well before they should've been. I'm going to miss him pulling out his guitar and singing for everyone. That's what hurts more than anything, I'll never hear my Daddy's voice again. Never see the way he looked when he sang Curtis Loew or Amie... He named me after that song. I used to hate hearing it, and now I just want to hear him sing it one more time.
Go rest high on that mountain Daddy. I love you and miss you more than ever. 

Rusty was my daddy... Is my daddy and always will be my daddy. Daddy and I were always closest and I loved him every bit as much as he did me. He was my hero when I was a little girl. He was stronger than everyone and I'd tell anyone who listened, because that was MY daddy. I hadn't seen him in a long time before he left and I'll never forgive myself for that. I've never felt pain this deep and burning. I thought I had all the time in the world to be able to connect with him again, well before he left, but that didn't happen... The only thing that makes it a little easier, is that I know my daddy was ready to go home, to be with his daddy. And that right now, they're up there, playing endless golf on the most beautiful greens and fairways, the likes of which we can only imagine... Have a good game, Daddy and give Papa all my love.
