Ruben Ivan Strickland

Mr. Strickland was born April 25, 1942 in Jacksboro, TX, son of the late Andrew Lee Strickland and Effie Jewel Horn Strickland. He was a member of Spring Road Christian Church in Lanett, AL and was employed with Duracell LaGrange as the plant manager before retiring. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Carol Strickland; his children, Scott Strickland (Jenny), Suzanne Strickland Griffith (Joey), and Tim Strickland; grandchildren, Jennifer Strickland Weatherford, Chelci Kee Turner, Hope Strickland Russell, Carly Strickland Gardner, Evie Kee Messer, Sydnie Strickland, Emma Strickland, Drew Strickland, Maggie Vatelli, and Drake Vatelli; and 14 great grandchildren.

The Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 18, 2021 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange, GA with Rev. David Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens. The gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
