Roger Leon Cummings

Mr. Cummings was born January 2, 1947 in LaGrange, Georgia, son of Calvin Leon Cummings and Betty Jo (Bass) Cummings. He owned and operated Cummings Trucking Company which was established in 1976. His career lasted 45 years with his recent retirement in 2021.

Survivors include his children, Angie Mobley (Joe), Wendee Long, Tangela Cummings, Tonya Cummings Deloach, and Tammy Barnes Harris (Cliff); grandchildren, Mark Ellis, Brandy Ward (Jonathon), D.L. Long, Drew Ivey, Megan Gaston, Justin Doughman (Kayla), Cody Doughman (Lindsey), Sydney Lilienthal (Wyatt), Andrea Nix, Holly King (Matt), Heather Gooch, Hannah Callahan (Jon), Hilary Harris, Tripp Harris; and great grandchildren, Gracie Ellis, Briley Gaston, Sail Ward, Hunter Ivey, Olivia Ivey, Andrea Ivey, Sumer Ivey, Rayne Ivey, Braden Long, Gage Long, Emersyn Doughman, Nate Hay, Cohen Doughman, Ridge Doughman, Haisley Akhawala, Elsie Kate Smith, and Jack Callahan.

The Celebration of Life service will be held at Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Rev. Max McCord officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be held prior to the memorial service from 1:00-2:00pm on November 16, 2022.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to West Georgia Hospice, 1510 Vernon Road, LaGrange, GA 30240 or the American Lung Association in memory of Roger L. Cummings.
