Patsy Gearldine Burgess, 85, of LaGrange, GA passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Hospice LaGrange. She was born May 21, 1931 in Heard County, GA, daughter of the late Thomas E. and Masouri A. Lester. Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Elton Burgess and son, Billy Lee Burgess.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Sharon Burgess of Franklin, GA; grandson, Daniel Shelnutt of LaGrange, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Jerrell and Betty Lester of Newnan, GA and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Gathering of Family and Friends will be Friday, August 19, 2016 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be 11:00am Saturday, August 20, 2016 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. Interment will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange, GA.
