“Mrs. Kim” as she was affectionately known, was born October 15, 1937 in Pusan, South Korea. After being married in South Korea, she came to the United States in 1962 and became a citizen. She was a member of First Baptist Church on the Square and owned several restaurants and barber shops. In addition to family members in Korea, she is preceded in death by her late husband, Lawrence Keith Copeland.
Mrs. Kim is survived by her first husband, SGM Luis G. Cavazos; daughter, Sylvia Cavazos; sons, Fernando Cavazos, Ricardo Cavazos and Rolando Cavazos; granddaughter, Brittney Dee Cavazos; other relatives and friends.
The Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 11am at First Baptist Church on the Square with Pastor Cade Farris officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
