Mrs. Banks was born October 16, 1928 in Norfolk, VA, daughter of the late Robert John Fleischmann Sr. and Minna Dina Wiltz Fleischmann. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Glenn Banks, sister, Catherine Anna Lewis, and a brother, Robert John Fleischmann.
Mrs. Banks is survived by her children, Velma Morgan, Brenda Jean Edwards (Donald), and William Glenn Banks (Sarah); grandchildren, Rebecca Barnes (Patrick), Kathryn Edwards, and Laura Edwards; one great grandchild, Logan Barnes; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A Celebration of Life services will be held 12:00 P.M. Thursday, July 6, 2023 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange, GA with Dr. Mike Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens. The gathering of family and friends will be on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
