Kasey was born June 7, 1974 in LaGrange, GA, daughter of Malinda Jane Fields Mitchell and the late Michael Lee Stephenson. She was employed with D.G. Tile Company in Ocala, FL.
Kasey was a free spirit and lived her life to the fullest and just enjoyed life. She had the biggest heart and loved everyone especially her children, grandchild, and sister.
Survivors in addition to her mother, Jane Mitchell, include her children, Kalyn Gail Jones and William Anthony Mitchell; sister, Kristi Morton (Richard); brothers, Michael Shane Stephenson and David Wayne Stephenson (Hnou); grandchild, Kolby Gant Jones; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at The Train Depot, 230 North Maple Street, Laurel, MS 39440 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Kasey Lynn Cooksey.
