Karen Ella Smedley

Karen was born January 6, 1956 in West Point, GA, daughter of Roy Willard Smedley and the late Geraldine Nixon Smith Smedley.

Survivors in addition to her father, Roy Smedley, include her three sisters, Patricia Smith Mansfield, Pauline Smith Edmonds, and Kathleen Smedley Ledbetter; 8 nieces and nephews; 9 great nieces and great nephews; and numerous cousins and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, February 17, 2018 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend Dennis Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Marseilles Cemetery, West Point, GA. The gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Karen Ella Smedley.
