Joyce Fowler

Mrs. Fowler was born August 30, 1944 in Valley, AL, daughter of the late Earnest Spaldin Adams and Ida Myrtle Belle Adams. She was employed with the Troup County School System as a Paraprofessional before retiring. Mrs. Fowler was a member of and pianist for Gray Hill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delma Leon “Buddy” Fowler and a brother, Bobby Adams.

Survivors include her children, Vickie (David) Baird of Holly Springs, NC, Ernie (Arlene) Fowler of West Point, GA, and Dana L. Kennedy of West Point, GA; grandchildren, Garrett (Sara) Starnes of Asheville, NC, Stephanie (Nate) Masters of Carrollton, GA, Kristen (Casey) Rudisill of Charlotte, NC, Melanie (Madison) Mailhot of Pine Mountain, GA, Leah Rutland (Justin Higgins) of Millbrook, AL, Will (Tracie) Baird of Columbia, SC, Peyton (Caitlyn) Rutland of Lanett, AL, and Drew Baird of Los Angeles, CA; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Dianne Satterwhite of LaGrange, GA; sister-in-law, Betty Adams of Valley, AL; and numerous extended family members.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 13, 2021 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange, GA. The gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to The Humane Society of Harris County in memory of Mrs. Joyce Adams Fowler.
