James was born April 5, 1945 in Roberta, GA, son of the late Willie Elmira Bloodworth and Cleo V. Bloodworth. He worked for many years with Milliken and Company as a Machine Specialist. He graduated from Perry High School in 1965 and he was a deacon and devoted member of County Line Baptist Church and Creekside Baptist Church of Stovall Road in LaGrange, GA and a devoted, loving, husband, father, grandfather, brother and son.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Sidney J. Bloodworth; grandson Brennon Phillip Michael Tomko; son-in-law Juan Jose Arroyo.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Linda Bloodworth, daughter, Amy Tomko Arroyo of LaGrange, GA, grandchildren, Adreiannah Lillie Wingate-Arroyo, Helen-Sierrah Rayne Wingate, Garrett James Wingate, Giovanni-Luciano Arroyo, siblings; Frances (Mark) Herzig, Brenda (Wain) Bates, Rita Bryan, Vivian Bloodworth, Mary Callentine, Rachel (Gene) Langston.
The gathering of family and friends will be Saturday October 28, 2017 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. The Celebration of Life will be at 2:30pm at Creekside Baptist Church Sunday October 29, 2017 with Rev. Lamar Truitt and Rev. Brian Geter officiating. Burial will follow at Meadoway Gardens. The family will be at their home at 3646 Dallas Mill Road.
