Harry Franklin Bailey Sr.

Harry was born September 3, 1939 in Rome, GA, son of the late Auvern Thomas Bailey and Carrie Leola Brock Bailey. He was Baptist by faith and was a member of F&AM Lodge #537 in Taylorsville, GA. In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by a son, Michael Bailey; a granddaughter, Heather Bailey; and a sister, Floy Howell.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Bailey of LaGrange; children, Harry Franklin Bailey, Jr. of Rome, Zack Bailey, Lisa Chavez, and Douglas (Melissa) Bailey, all of LaGrange, Sherrie (Jamie) Duke of Centralhatchee, and Johnny (Lisa) Bailey of Valley, AL; grandchildren, Crystal Bailey, Gina Bailey, Frankie Bailey, Josh Bailey, Lottye Bailey, Marcus Chavez, Michael Bailey, Levi Bailey, Johnny Bailey, Trevor Bailey, and Brock Bailey; step-children, Jamie (Tammy) Ison and Melissa Sammons; sisters, Ann (Ellis) Butler and Doris Green, all of Rome; brothers, Douglas (Barbara) Bailey and Charles (Chris) Bailey, all of Rome and Tom (Margie) Bailey of Center, AL; sister-in-law, Debbie (Mike) Able of LaGrange; brothers-in-law, Wilburn (Bonnie) Goolsby of Carrollton and Dennis Cannon of LaGrange; and numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held 5 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange Chapel with burial to follow in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.
