Mr. Hinton was born May 26, 1929 in Atlanta, GA to the late Tom Watson Hinton and Nora Belle Gardner Hinton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Betty Jean Hunter Hinton; step-son, Steven Poole; sisters, Almagene Callaway and Marie Clark; brothers, Ronnie Hinton and Thomas Hinton.
He is survived by his step-daughter Thresa (Mike) Miller; son, Andrew Hinton; step-sons, Greg (Traci) Poole and Nephew, Michael (Gwen) Hinton.
Mr. Hinton proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
A Graveside Service will be held 3:00 P.M Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange GA.
