Garvis was preceded in death by his father, Garvis Wheeler Hendrix Sr.; daughter, Krysta Kaitlyn Hendrix and sister, Brenda Hendrix Mathis.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela “Pam” Hendrix; son, Jacob (Mary) Hendrix; daughter, Casey Hendrix; mother, Florence “Florine” Hendrix and brother-in-law, David McCann; nieces, Brandi (Brian) Luke, Jessica (Matt) Awbrey; nephews, Jason Brazil, Thomas Steele and Jackson McCann.
Garvis loved his family, his church and Alabama football but above all, he loved Jesus.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in LaGrange, GA. The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at the Pentecostal Church of LaGrange at 1:00 PM. The committal will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange.
Rev. Philip Murry and Rev. Steven Sculley will be officiating the service.
Serving as pallbearers are Devin Brazil, Tyler Brazil, Tanner Brazil, Trevor Nunis, David McCann, Jackson McCann, Austin Colwell and Ben Duke.
