Douglas was preceded in death by his late wife, Shirley Ann Lackey.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Virginia Lackey; children, Deborah (David) Traylor, Marvin Lackey, Molly (Alton) Lackey, Douglas Lackey Jr. and Chris (Adena) Lackey; step-children, Stewart Henry and Alexandria Crippa; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Douglas was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a local Mason and retired with Milliken and Company with 48 years of service.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Friday, September 6, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in LaGrange, GA. The Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1:00 PM.
Mr. Lackey will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange, GA following the service.
Serving as pallbearers are Robert Baker, Nathan Baker, Jeremy Wells, Josh Prestridge, Doug Lackey and Chris Lackey.
