David Wayne Reese

Mr. Reese was born June 26, 1955 in LaGrange, son of the late Willard Ray and Ellen Hasty Reese. He was a faithful member and Deacon of Lakeview Baptist Church and served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Reese volunteered with Hospice LaGrange, Florence Hand Home and other nursing home facilities. He will be remembered for his love of music and playing the guitar.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Ledford Reese; daughter, Angela Sheppard; son, Matthew (Kaycee) Reese; five grandchildren, Jeff Sheppard, Amber Sheppard, Emily Reese, Morgan Reese, Jaxon Reese; four great grandchildren; four brothers, Randy Reese, Jimmy Reese, Steve Reese, and Stan Reese; uncle, Charles (Betty) Hasty; other relatives and friends.

The Gathering of Family and Friends will be Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend Lamar Truitt and Reverend Jimmy Pruitt officiating.
