It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Hall of LaGrange, Georgia. Charles was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who passed away at the age of 74. He is leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and integrity that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Born with a spirit of kindness and responsibility, Charles touched the lives of countless individuals as a leader in the State of Georgia and throughout his 52 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Jan. Their partnership was a testament to the power of commitment, love, and mutual respect. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, memories, and unwavering devotion to one another. As a father, Charles was a rock for his children—always offering guidance, wisdom, and support. His unshakeable faith, character, and work ethic made him a model of strength and virtue for his family.
A proud alumnus of the University of Georgia and a lifelong Georgia Bulldog fan, Charles was known for his loyalty, dedication, and enthusiasm to the university. He served on many committees, including President of the UGA CAES Alumni Association Board of Directors. Charles founded his company Association Services Group in 1995, which was recognized many times as one of the fastest growing companies in Georgia. Georgia Trend Magazine recognized Charles’ company as one of the best places to work, an affirmation to his relatability and leadership.
There were many accolades bestowed upon him throughout his life, and his accomplishments were many. He was the founder and President/CEO of Association Services Group (ASG) of LaGrange, GA from 1995-2021. Charles was an active member of First Baptist Church on the Square where he served as a Deacon and Greeter. He enjoyed his Friday Morning Bible Study Group, which has been meeting for over 45 years. The group, who will serve as Honorary Pallbearers, included Dr. Walt Stewart, Jeff Brown, Jerry Rigby, Ford McLain, Robby Cook, Otto Korth, Bob Goehring, and David Kinney.
Above all, Charles was a man of God, committed to living a life of integrity and service. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, and he exemplified the teachings of Christ in his everyday actions. His integrity, humility, and compassion earned him the admiration and respect of those around him. His word was his bond, and his actions always aligned with his values.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jan; their children, Emily Brewton (Wendell) and Tamlin Hall; grandchildren, Bethany, Hannah, Conner, & Addison Brewton, and Brock & Hendrix Hall; brother, Marvin Hall (Diane); five nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tamlin and Mary Nell Hall.
On Friday, January 24th, a Visitation will be held in the sanctuary at First Baptist Church on the Square in LaGrange, Georgia, from 12:00-2:00pm. Immediately following the Visitation, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm, where friends and family will gather to share memories, honor his life, and give thanks for the many blessings he brought to each of us. The Interment will follow for the family at the Hall Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Charles’ memory to First Baptist Church on the Square of LaGrange, Georgia, where he was a Deacon, Usher, and Greeter for over three decades.
