Carl Steven Porter

Mr. Porter was born May 2, 1952 in Eagle, CO, son of James “Jim” Porter and the late Dorothy “Sally” Porter. He was a lieutenant with the City of LaGrange Fire Department and had been employed for the past 28 years.

Survivors in addition to his father and step mother, James “Jim” and Mavis Porter of LaGrange, include three daughters and one son-in-law, Rebecca Porter of LaGrange, Carla Porter of LaGrange, and Stephanie and Robert Aarstad of Winder, GA; two grandchildren, Victoria Porter and Zachary Aarstad; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Zona Harris of LaGrange and Terri and Roy Peterson of LaGrange.

The memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Faith Baptist Church with burial to follow in Lebanon Cemetery.

The gathering of family and friends will be this evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
