Rosa Locastro Mills (Sissy) of The Villages, Fl born December 16, 1938 in Memphis, Tn. passed away at home under hospice care on Jan. 21, 2018 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia/Parkinsons. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sue and Arthur Locastro, her daughter, Martha Ann Mills and her son, Thomas Arthur Mills. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Milton Thomas Mills, her daughter, Mary (Alan) Blount, her brother Samuel Locastro Sr., Daughter-in-law Julie Mills-Watson and her 5 grandchildren, Dr. M.K. Mills, Eric Mills, Anthony Mills, Anna Blount and Maria Blount.
Sissy was a 1957 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Memphis, Tn. and was a registered X-Ray technician. She had a great love for traveling enjoying trips all over the US including Alaska and Hawaii, as well as numerous cruises and several trips to Europe. Sissy had a compassionate heart and a love for Jesus. She worked for years at the soup kitchen at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Atlanta, and lead a variety of ministries at St. Timothy Catholic Church of The Villages, FL. She was also a Pastoral Minister of the Diocese of Orlando. Sissy adored Disney, was an avid reader and loved to sing religious songs. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Funeral mass will be Monday Feb. 5, 2018 8:30am at St. Timothy Catholic Church in The Villages, Fl.
