Ron graduated from Point Loma High School in 1962. He was owner/operator of La Mesa Plumbing and Electrical for over 37 years in San Diego County. Many were familiar with his "brown truck" with the large, patriotic sign on the back that read "Proud to be an American". He loved his country and would get teary eyed whenever he heard the National Anthem. He had been a member of Tipsters, an organization of business professionals, for many years.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Carolyn (LaCombe), his sister, Jo-Ann Carol (Carini), San Diego, his brother, Louis Reggio, Penn Valley, step-son Michael Boone, La Mesa, his two sisters-in-law Alicia LaCombe-Carvalho, Waxahachie, Texas and Danielle Kramer (LaCombe), La Mesa, whom he helped raise and to whom he was a father figure, his many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 18th at Nan Couts Cottage, 4975 Memorial Dr., La Mesa, 91942 from 1:00 P. M. to 3:30 P. M. The funeral mass will be held Saturday, November 19th at 11:00 A.M., at Holy Cross Cemetery, in the Chapel, at 4470 Hilltop Dr., San Diego, internment immediately following.
In lieu of flowers consider a donation to a charity of your choice in Ron's honor.
Ron will be truly missed, always loved, and never forgotten. He was one of a kind.
I want to give a special thank you to Dr. Kathleen Norris, all the caregivers, therapists, nurses and staff at Grossmont Gardens Assisted Living in La Mesa. Your care and friendship given to Ron during his 2-1/2 year stay is truly appreciated.
