Kathryn Ann Estes was born August 30, 1937, in San Diego, California. She lived in San Diego’s East County for the majority of her life. She was an exceptional self taught organist, who lived for music and played in the Adventist church. In her early career she worked as an administrative secretary for Cubic Corporation. She ultimately settled down to have a family, and dedicated her life to raising her children, who she loved dearly.
Kathryn passed away on September 28, 2014. She is survived by: daughter Dayma Phillips; son-in-law Tom Phillips; son Danton Estes; grandson Orion Phillips; granddaughter Kaiya Estes; brother Jerry Finley; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom were so special to her.
