Joseph Michael Galbo

Joseph Michael Galbo passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on June 29, 2024 after a brief illness. Joe was born on February 14, 1969 in Rochester, New York. He is survived by his wife, Christina, of 22 years; daughters Grace and G; stepmother Gail Galbo; mother-in-law Carol Russo; brother David (Meagan) Galbo; sisters Jean (Paul) Tantalo and Jackie (Mike) Petromallo and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Joe has left an eternal imprint on the lives of all that knew him. His love, dedication, mentorship and humor affected the lives of many. Numerous people have reached out to express their gratitude for Joe’s friendship, guidance and support through the years. We are finding strength in hearing stories and memories from friends and family who knew and loved him. He had a big impact on all of our lives, and we are so incredibly devastated by the loss of this incredible man.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Sharp Grossmont Hospital, especially Dr. Salam Yatooma and the incredible staff on 2East. Their care, support and compassion helped get us through this incredibly difficult time.

Joe’s life was valued and cherished and he will forever be missed.
