Ivan is survived by his wife, Frances; his younger brother, Melvin, his 6 sons, his 10 grandchildren, and his 12 great grandchildren. Ivan grew up in Grand Rapids, MI. He served in the Navy for 23 years and retired as a Master Chief Petty Officer on July 7, 1971. He then worked at SDG&E for 16 years. Ivan was baptized in Christ in 1968, and served the Lord his whole life. He served the Lord in many capacities. He enjoyed camping; relaxing at this cabin, which had no electricity or running water, near Julian; and spending time with his family.
