

She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Richard Cortopassi and her daughter Betty Lee Cortopassi. She is survived by her son and his wife Richard ad Linda Cortopassi, her daughter Susan Hengel and her grandchildren Jessica and Seth Hengel.
Dorothy was a devoted mother and grandmother, participating in her children’s activities through all of their school years, including PTA member, Girl Scout helper, band mom, uniform maker, and cheer leader at events.
She loved to cook, including running her own catering company, being a cafeteria worker at her children’s elementary school and being chief cook for her children’s high school band. Throughout her life, Dorothy was always there doing for others so that their lives were richer.
Dorothy was a well-loved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and daughter. She will be dearly missed and will always remain in our hearts.
Her ashes will be placed next to her husband at El Cajon Cemetery, where she will be close to her parents Joseph & Ethel Walker and her daughter Betty Lee Cortopassi.
The family will gather to remember her at a Celebration of Life (Open House) on Sunday, March 5, starting at 11 AM at the family home, 744 Broadview Street in Spring Valley.
