Sandra Sauceda

Engletina "Sandra" Sauceda, 62, of Mercedes, TX passed away on February 11, 2023 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, TX. She was born May 22nd, 1960 in Mercedes, Texas to Domingo and Domitila (Gonzalez) Loya.

Sandra worked for the Mercedes ISD food services department for over 30 years and was well loved by all in the school district. She loved collecting movies and watching Christmas movies all year long. She was a humble, strong woman with a beautiful smile that would light up the room and was known for her selflessness and generosity. Sandra loved her family unconditionally and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her faith in God was unwavering and admired. She will be forever missed and eternally in our hearts.

Surviving her is her husband Rolando Sauceda; her three children: Rolando Sauceda Jr. (Rebecca), Amy Sauceda (Lupe), and David Sauceda (Brenda). Her 5 sisters, Evangelina Hernandez, Berta Martinez, Beatrice Cantu, and Mary David; her three brothers Susano Loya(Guadalupe), Joey Loya(Sevy), and Joe Loya(Patti); her three grandchildren: Xavier, Josef, and Noah. Also including numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Juanita "Janie" Perez, and two brothers: Roman Loya, and Domingo Loya Jr.

A visitation for Sandra will be at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 2 PM - 10 PM. A chapel service will be held at 1 PM Friday, February 17. 2023 following a burial at 2 PM.
